I had a great weekend, packed to the gills. In fact, it would be much quicker to tell you what I DIDN’T do this weekend. Four of my college girlfriends came to my house on Friday for a girls night. Two of them arrived early, so we went “junkin” at a local antique shop. Antique shops have the craziest things. We got a laugh out of the “Relax” bed pan, the scary head sculpture with freaky hair, the olympic-esque statue, the pregnant mannequin… who buys this stuff?! Angi scored a couple of old crates at just $12 each. One will be a shelf for Hotwheels in her son’s room. Clever, eh? Later that night, we all went to Saugatuck for dinner. Scored an outdoor table. Perfect weather….

If I had ten thumbs, I would give this recipe ten thumbs up. It’s UBER DELICIOUS. AMAZING. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. The BEST vegan veggie burger I’ve tried to date. The infamous Marie Catrib’s restaurant is less than a one hour drive from my house. They have a serious reputation when it comes to delicious food, and as you would expect, a massive following of fans. From what I understand, the place is ALWAYS busy. To date, I haven’t actually been inside the restaurant. On my birthday, I wanted to eat there so badly. For me, it’s a huge treat to go out to eat at a place that serves great vegan food (places like this are still hard to find here in west Michigan). Hubs,…
If you happened to read my ABOUT page and you made it to the end, then you might remember my mention of Stella & Dot. I have been a S&D Stylist since April of 2009. I fell in love with their jewelry line immediately. It was so different from any other direct sales jewelry line – it was stylish, fashion-forward, modern, vintage-inspired, bold, fun and screamed “Livvy!”. I was certain that Stella & Dot would be a hit, and I was right. Lucky for me, I get to share this line with women and their friends in their homes, on the go, at events and online. The guests get great deals on stylish accessories (half the line is under $50), the hostess gets an average…
RECIPE: Vegan Choco-Banana-Nut Ice Cream ADAPTED FROM: Dreena Burton’s “Cashew Banana Ice Cream” recipe Deena Burton rocks. She’s a vegan veteran that creates healthy vegan recipes. By that I mean, she doesn’t use white sugar, white flour or vegan substitutes (vegan cheese, vegan meat, etc). Instead, she relies on the basics like beans, fruit, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, seeds, etc. Her newest cookbook, Let them Eat Vegan!, is based on this principle. I’ve already made several recipes from the book . While they have all been excellent, my favorite so far is the Black Bean, Quinoa & Sweet Potato Spicy Croquettes with the Pumpkin Seed Chipotle Cream. Ah-mazing. She gives very helpful tips with each recipe in the book (this I love). She also includes loads…
