Ahhh – SUNSHINE!!!! Finally. Nice weather can do wonders for my ambition level. It’s like the sun is beaming down all this energy into my body. Over the weekend, Hubs and I managed to get a whole lot of work done and continued right into Monday and Tuesday. Now we can barely move. We replaced the carpet in our living room with hardwood maple. There are just a few rows left to install, then onto sanding, staining and coating. If you want to test your marriage, this is a good way to do it. It doesn’t help that I might be the pickiest person on the planet. It DOES help that I married the most patient person on the planet. Wow. What a week. The Boston Marathon bombing (which continues to unfold as I type this post), the explosion in West, TX, and then storms/flooding in our area. Sure does put our “problems” into perspective, doesn’t it? While this very wet, gray, cold weather is not fun, I find it hard to complain when I look at the big picture. The folks in Boston and West, TX need our prayers. Don’t forget about them. Whew! Two big tasks (an Index page and business taxes) all in one day. So glad to have those two checked off my list. Thank you for the comments yesterday – it helps to know the efforts were worth it. About seven months ago, I wrote a post about a TERRIBLE Macaroni & Cheese with Broccoli recipe. It was an epic fail. So bad that it took me seven months before I attempted to test another vegan mac ‘n cheese recipe. I’m so sad that I waited that long.
