Last August, I posted about my coral color crush. I’m still loving coral, but I’ve also got a new crush on the color mint. It’s everywhere right now. Last week at Target, I couldn’t get enough mint. I bought a set of four mint green dip bowls, a mint green photo frame and a decorative minty milk glass bottle (none of which are available online, unfortunately). I love this event. What’s better than touring 12 homes (all decked out in amazing Christmas decor) while shopping for various items from over 100 local artists? This is my idea of a FUN day! And that is was. I tagged along with three friends, two of which have made this an annual tradition for several years. We started early, hit all 12 houses and shopped til we dropped (at about 7 pm). For our tenth anniversary (in April of this year), Hubs and I took a trip to Acapulco. When we travel, I like to shop for a small piece of art (usually a watercolor or print) to bring home for a souvenir. During our trip, we hired a driver to take us on a tour of the city (which was beautiful). In the morning, we stopped to do a bit of shopping (pretty sure our driver had cut a deal with the shop owner to receive a portion of any business he generated). The event was created and hosted by Rachel Gurk of Rachel Cooks and Liz Della Croce of The Lemon Bowl.
